Like eating big juicy fish tacos in what appears to be a disco ball-clad bordello? Nick is your man (not the Ladies Man's sandwich, Pervo-McNasty)! I figured I was going to be let down because of all the hype. No, not this time. Nick's was the perfect meal after a day of city hiking from downtown all the way out to Crissy Field. Fish tacos = the shit! If fish tacos are on the menu I'm ordering them and was impressed that they offer both fried and grilled options. I ordered two grilled tacos because I sure as hell wasn't about to spend $12 on three tacos---especially since I was expecting taco truck sized tacos. But hell no! These are thick and moist mountain-man fish tacos and we could barely finish two---and we all know how much I can put away. Guacamole = fresh and delish! Get it! Go...eat in that whore house!

Evan and his gnome were great hosts at this charming bar in a really cool, really old building that looks a bank (probably because it WAS a bank). I love me some exposed brick & friendly staff, so we were quite pleased when we ended up here as the last stop on the "OMG I live on the other side of the country and will be in PA so we must get together, catch up and drink WAY too much" evening. They have many a great brew on tap and in bottles. We opted for vodka. We drank and talked about gnomes,  iTunes technology and "Burning Man East" and looked around to see who that other person who had checked in on Foursquare was. A good time was had by all. Go for the cool building & décor. Stay for the atmosphere and great staff.

This review is specifically for the now semi-defunct Friday night Remedy Deep House parties by Electric Productions. While DNA has always had interesting nights (Bootie comes to mind), NOTHING beats Remedy. NOTHING. Hands down my favorite club night ever.  Anywhere (yes that includes you  NYC...Shelter and Cielo do not compare IMO) I've had more bad ass sweat through your shirt wake up with leg cramp nights here than anywhere else. The crowd is diverse, from Yuppies to BBoys to old hallucinating the 60's never ended dudes.  There's always real Deep House talent, minus a few train wrecking locals. Plus there's no need to spend money at the bar when you can in-n-out to the liquor store down the street. If you are (were) a regular than you already know what I'm talking about. It's a damn SHAME however, that they are throwing it now at Temple, although it's still better than their previous decision to have the party at Ruby Skye. Please bring back Remedy to DNA Lounge. Please. Please. Spanks!
