by deb k. on Saturday brunch of lobster mac and cheese on the roof deck? Yep, that's the way to start a weekend. Rich? Yeah, but, crikey, it's lobster, mac and cheese, more lobster and more mac and cheese. Coffee was good and my friend said her Negroni was, too, and it was no longer on the menu. I also, loved (did I say that I loved it? I did.) my blondie with ice cream and butterscotch -- just the right size, temperature and sweetness. The only downside was that the staff seemed a little disconnected - not rude, not horrible, just not really attentive and not super quick, and it wasn't particularly busy. Also, and this is a minor thing, when they prepped for service, they didn't clean off the seats Fortunately, the pads come right off so I could shake the old food off mine. All in all, though, pretty darned good. Will be checking out more goodies from the roof deck.

A relatively classy music venue, with lots of space and few obstructions (two concrete supports, but nothing that you can't get around). Speaker system is great, too -- above the heads of the audience, including those that are closer to the stage. This is a rare venue feature -- normally if you get up close you've got the speakers directly at ear-level, which is deafening. I'd definitely go see another show here.
