Okay, sue me for being a tourist. I came here to take my friend who is visiting from LA, and true to FORM, i had half a steak sandwich from Geno's and half a steak sandwich from Pat's. As the Director of the Board of Judges in my own personal competition, I LIKED GENO's BETTER. because for me, A SOFT BUN IS KEY! i like the balance of not too much steak, cheese and a soft bun - kinda like a grown up melt-in-yer-mouth sandwich... the one thing that irks me is that they are not too welcoming to tourists- god knows how to order in this side of town, and its just downright disappointing service wise. ill forgive them for rude service since once they hand you your drink and sandwich, you don't have to deal with them anymore. Now i want to try the other cheesesteaks.

I went here with friends for dinner while visiting NYC. The decor and ambiance are what you would expect for a trendy NYC restaurant, however, we were seated in a very dark section of the restaurant with only 1 votive candle on the table. The waiter was kind enough to bring 2 additional votive candles, but I still felt like I was eating in the dark. The music was also a little loud for a restaurant, but that was minor. Our waiter was very attentive and knowledgable about the menu, making suggestions and checking on us frequently. The cocktails were hit or miss. I enjoyed the Black on Black, but not so much the Berry cocktail. The food was really good. I had the Spicy Beef salad as an appetizer and it was an amazing collection of flavors. For my entree, I had the Tiger Shrimp, which was very good, but not great. My friend had the lamb, which was suggested by our waiter. I got to try it and I was glad that I did, because it was so tender and very good. We tried a variety of desserts, which were all good. Overall, it was a great dining experience and I would definitely go again.

I've been to this place several times, including once for a rateclubs event, which was a blast but two Saturday's ago this place officially shot to the top of my one star nightclub list. The first thing that came to mind when hitting the lower dance floor was "I'll bust a cap in your ass!!!", that's how ghetto this place was. The line out the door is ridiculous and there's really no need to try and come here on a Friday or Saturday night. Perhaps there are other nights during the week when the place is more chill but on Saturday it seems to attract a very ghetto crowd. There's no way I'll be coming back here for a Friday or Saturday night, perhaps I'll check out a private event here in the future if a friend invites me but that's it. Unless you like increasing your odds of a trip to the emergeny room on a Saturday night, I'd skip this place.
