by Jewell Esker on Been here a grand total of.......... 2 times. haha. We stopped here on our partybus on Halloween and last Saturday when some friends of friends threw a huge bday bash. I had a great time both times. the decor isnt as grand as the picture shows.. but its got a dancefloor & a bar. what more do you need?? -So i Love, love, LOVE the roomy dance floors. Not roomy as in empty, but roomy as in.. i could move & flee from creepers if necessary. & watch out for crazy beezys that like to swing their legs back when they dance [wtf], almost got stabbed in the leg. o_O -VIP/ bottle service area in the back was a lil crowded though, but there was a shitload of people. -My only complaint is that the bartenders a taddd on the slow side [upstairs at least] -also my kamikaze didnt have enough alkie so i stuck to patron after that. -the bar downstairs def. had quicker service & bigger shots. & in the bottle service line.. i encountered one of the NICEST staffs everrr at a club. like whOa. not the usual douchebag. maybe he was a manager. 2 of our friends were not on the bottle service list & the guestlist line wrapped around the building, so he was nice enough to let them in with us, only payin the cover, which was fine by us. the venue itself is very chill, i would def. return.
by Deshawn Cromuel on I'm not really a huge fan of Woody's food, but I went there to drink for the first time since turning 21 and was really satisfied with the service and product. I ordered a peppermint schnapps with hot cocoa, and it was only $4. At the Emory in Ferndale, I was charged $6.50 for a drink of a little lower quality. The waitress was really friendly, and I would definitely return again.
by Crissy H. on I was surprised with dinner here for my birthday on Saturday night. The place is amazing. The deco is top notch. I especially love the Buddha statue (we sat right next to him so of course every two seconds there was someone trying to snap a picture). We got to restaurant a little bit before our reservations, we had a drink or two or three :-) at the bar. The drinks were amazing. I had the tao-tini and the love potion. Both were super yummy and strong! Once we sat down we decided we would just share a bunch of meals. We started with the scallop tempura and then moved on to the Kobe beef plate, lobster and shrimp spring roll, king crab sushi and chicken pad thai. All 5 dishes were to die for! Once we finished dinner I was beyond stuffed. I didn't think I could eat anything else, but I was talked into getting dessert since it was my bday. Well thank god we got it. This was the best part of the whole meal. We ordered the jumbo and I mean jumbo fortune cookie. The cookie was filled with white and dark chocolate moose and had an endless amount of fruit on the side. Just thinking about it makes me want to jump in the car to get another one. This place is defiantly someplace I would love to come back to!
