I only came here for the bar/lounge scene. We got here at 10:30. There were about 10 of us at the time to start out. The table that we originally reserved wasn't ready for us until 11pm. WTH?!!!! Then came a nice host and asked kindly to my friend "would you like to order a drink? she kindly responded, yes but you have to give us a table. So he did. And this is where my story takes place or review I should say....... Medjool is different from my bar/ lounge I have come accustomed to in SF. It has a more mediterranean vibe as well as their clienteles. They are the only known restaurant, bar, lounge that is 4 stories high and very spacious for the club scene. I liked that it is very spacious and airy but not a friendly bunch. The dj played alright music. The mixes weren't bad but it could of been alot better. The drinks were good especially the champagne mixed in with jambon. Very berry taste-like and bubbly which I like in my champagne. Overall, I had a entertaining nite at this newfound lounge. Music was ok. Drinks were great. Our group rocks! Do I want to come back again...probably not!

This venue is uber lame as a night club. The decor is sub-par at best and has poor flow going from place to place for handling the amount of foot-traffic that goes on there. Think whoever designed the venue did not anticipate the possibility of the place getting pretty packed. It's the typical nightclub scene at a crappy venue, would avoid unless you're gettin in free!

So rite, it's wrong. This place is a neighborhood dive-slash-restaurant. I suppose I'll have to come back here sometime to be fair, but I was less than impressed the first time. To their credit, we arrived to this EMPTY restaurant in a gigantic group without advanced notice to celebrate a birthday. Perhaps the staff felt overwhelmed. The bartender immediately told us that we would have to leave after the musician came. Excuse me? Don't you want our business on a Saturday night?! All 30 of us finished our drink and left it as empty as it was when we came in. I'm still confused.
