OK, I am really torn about this, because I love authentic irish bars and the new FADO is way too clean, bright, and sunny to be an authentic pub. BUT, they are one of the few places in town that knows how to pour a Guinness, they are smart enough to hold off on the authentic Irish food and serve an edible menu, and they seem to have maintained a little bit of the charm of the old place. The rooftop deck is fantastic for after work happy hour, and trivia night is very entertaining. Sometimes I feel like I am drinking in a Pottery Barn, but I am hoping two rugby teams will get into a huge fight in here, knock out a couple of windows, and install some character in the place.

As a member of the Ktown-Anonymous support group, I'm proud to say that it's been two weeks since I've gone to TFC... Mediocre drinks and low-key ambiance sums up TFC. Go enough times and you will run into people you know every time. Sadly there is nothing really special about third floor except for the ridiculous bill we always manage to rack up at the end of the night. But somehow, just like crack whores, we always find ourselves going back for more... Stop by on Thursdays and you might just find me there. Remember to say hi.

I love the intimacy (intimacy is cool) of the place but you do need to be close to the stage as it is so low if you want to get a view of the band especially if they are short (like Kristen Hersh). I've actually had a meal here after work and it was pretty good. Old bordello like decor with comfy couches. I've seen some great shows hear and had Juliana Hatfield autograph a t-shirt - should have had her sign my boob or ass. Next time.
