by Gaylord Roznowski on The pizza - barely 3 stars, but it does have that NY style floppiness I've grown accustomed to on drunk nights in NYC. Slices are really small though, so you probably should get a full pizza instead for the price. No, the 4 stars overall are for the amazing atmosphere of the outside patio and connected bar building in the back. Very comfortable, very coffee shop-like, with lots of wood and Texas touches. It was my favorite place to watch live music of all the places I went to during SXSW, with a low amount of scenesters and a high amount of locals, even bringing their babies and little kids in tow. The backyard is shaded with trees and they even put out lots of chairs for people to sit. It was a beautiful day with an awesome selection of music - I'm so glad I checked it out because it was soooo relaxing. They should totally have live music here all the time during the day. Just eat something else before going there :). Or get a whole pizza pie. Or eat a pizza slice for a light snack. I had the spinach-tomato-goat cheese slice, and it actually was really tasty - just on the skimpy side.

Seats for everyone (at least the night we were there). My only complaint was that my waitress disappeared for a good hour, but at least they aren't strict on the two drink minimum. Oh, and cash only.
by Lisa S. on Upon walking in, my friend was commenting on the general "ghetto-ness" of the establishment. It's definitely not swanky, or even nice for that matter, but it served its purpose well. We saw Mortified LA, and we got here early enough to snag a table and booth on the side. The staff were friendly and helpful, the waitresses were attentive, and the bathrooms were clean! All of these things were definite pluses of the evening!
