by Kathryne Ellie on La Terraza is incredibly cozy, friendly and full of good vibes. It's the type of place that you can actually have some good conversation with people you've never met before. They have a sweet layout with couches and a full bar downstairs. There're tiny tables for groups on the terrace upstairs. There's also a small DJ booth but I've never seen anyone man it. The music here is really chill from Erykah Badu to Radiohead. There's also a projector on the bottom floor where they show oldschool cartoons or music videos. La Terraza also has a hanging (literally) stage that local artists perform on. The management is really open to throwing events from local hip hop to a bunch of folks doing oasis covers. The stage isn't usually occupied though, unless there is an event planned. On regular days, this bar is full of mostly beautiful young neighborhood folks. I think someone called it the Columbian hipster hangout before but it's not intimidating at all. The bartenders always put on an excellent playlist and have been hella accommodating about requests. They've got really good mixed drinks and a happy hour specials. Right by the subway too! Really a lovely place.
by J M. on Above average food and a neat space are somewhat compromised by spotty service and dining rooms that have way too many tables crammed in them. Overall I would recommend this place, but the dining experience could be so much more (a real "total package" kind of restaurant) if the service was better and the accommodations more comfortable. It's not nice having a server's rear end in your face for most of the meal as he/she serves other tables!
by Mike W. on i give this a 5 not cuz it's that great a club but cuz it's the best out of the remaining clubs in ktown (vr/karnak/2###). anyway, we went there last saturday and it's a pretty cool place - they remodeled the entire interior and got rid of the red couches and made the entrance to come in fom the top over looking the dance floor versus the front and coming down the stairs. we got a room to fit about 20 with 2 bottles of vodka and 2 crown and it came out to about 940 or something... so it seems typical kclub price. the cons- smaller dance floor some of the table locations r questionable - they put a few tables behind the stairs so when i passed by those tables on the way up i felt bad for the perps seated there... they looked very very pathetically sad anyway in conclusion it's a "super" k club.
