by Sunny Varnon on What do people see in this place. I tried giving this place a chance durin the week and weekend. Overpriced from the admission outside, to the drinks inside. It is filled with thirsty and trickin Negroes. Also, average lookin women are ego tripping. The set up inside is cool but that about it. Please have alternative options when you consider this place.
by Isabelle Kasparian on Time after time there is one place in Hollywood that delivers and delivers to a T and it's MyHouse. GETTING IN: It's a trendy Hollywood club, so if your planning on just waltz'ing in (especially if your a guy) think again. Show up early (10pm) and plan on it taking up to an hour. If this just isn't your cup of tea, oh well, go to Happy Endings or Red Rock. However, if you look decent and friendly your getting in .. I've been here with groups of only guys maybe 5 or 6 times and have gotten in every time I've arrived before 11. Got a table once and the experience/hostess was great. THE CLUB: This IMO is what separates MyHouse from a lot of other clubs in LA. It just doesn't look like a rush job. It looks like they took their time, planned everything out, and succeeded on all levels. Check out their website for pictures, it really is that nice. Its the perfect size, perfect amount of open space, perfect variety of moods, everything. My only complaint would be one small bathroom located by the entrance/exit but there never seems to be a line so who cares!! Again though, this club in my experience takes the cake for a space on all levels. There are also 3 different bar locations and getting a drink never seems to be much of a hassle. Even the drink prices aren't outrageous (aka standard downtown for instance). CROWD: It's consistently good. It's a hollywood crowd which for those that are complaining about that then WTF are you doing going out IN hollywood?? The girls have skimpy outfits and show some skin, the guys have nice button ups or dressy tees (which as a note they are starting to crack down on graphic tees I was told last time) with a 200 dollar pair of jeans. Sometimes its 10's all around, sometimes 8's, but it's never what I would consider "sketchy" or "hipstery" at all. OVERALL: Really the standard setter in my mind for the past 2 years or however long its been around. You might wait a little to get in, but it is worth it.
