by Linwood Tamlin on My first time there--My low rating comes mostly from the service. it was pretty busy probably because it's almost a holiday and the Scoutmob deal. So our wait was 20 minutes, which was fine. I asked if we could get a drink at the bar and the hostess said absolutely. 20 minutes later--hostess comes by and says: are you the "____" party of 2? We respond yes. She says: "ok, don't leave from this spot so I know where you are." My dinner companion and I looked at each other in slight astonishment--we hadn't moved from there the entire time. In fact, we had been waiting for almost 10 minutes for the bartender to even take my order, asked for our ID's, and then waited a few more minutes for him to come back so he could look at our ID's before he made our drinks. Bad business plan on such a busy night--they really need to have more than one bartender, given that margaritas are probably a favorite for their customers. Our waitress was completely absent. We got a small bowl of salsa (good salsa, I might add!) but it was empty rather quicky and we never received a replacement until our order came. I wanted to get a second margarita, but when I asked for a menu, she then disappeared for 15 more minutes. She came back, we were done eating, and she asks if i wanted another drink. I said no, not any more... I seriously waited for what seemed like "forever" just to order another drink. I had two chicken tacos and a pork taco... they were kinda dry. My dinner companion had shrimp tacos, and I was told they were delicious. That dish was suggested to me in the past, but since I don't eat shrimp, I haven't tried them. But, I'd recommend that if you go here. I love the decor & atmosphere here... it has a lot potential but is clearly not ready to handle a crowded night.
by Fredric Tritch on if my perception of this club changes tonight then yes i will change the rating on this.. but i'll write based on what i remember last time i went 1) came here all girls yet we were still required to pay 20 bucks cover 2) crowded, sweaty, wet floors, gross guys, music all house trance 3) people on the couches near entrance having sex with each other out in the open not even hiding... i dunno... i think i would rather spend my 20 bucks elsewhere
by Crissy H. on I was surprised with dinner here for my birthday on Saturday night. The place is amazing. The deco is top notch. I especially love the Buddha statue (we sat right next to him so of course every two seconds there was someone trying to snap a picture). We got to restaurant a little bit before our reservations, we had a drink or two or three :-) at the bar. The drinks were amazing. I had the tao-tini and the love potion. Both were super yummy and strong! Once we sat down we decided we would just share a bunch of meals. We started with the scallop tempura and then moved on to the Kobe beef plate, lobster and shrimp spring roll, king crab sushi and chicken pad thai. All 5 dishes were to die for! Once we finished dinner I was beyond stuffed. I didn't think I could eat anything else, but I was talked into getting dessert since it was my bday. Well thank god we got it. This was the best part of the whole meal. We ordered the jumbo and I mean jumbo fortune cookie. The cookie was filled with white and dark chocolate moose and had an endless amount of fruit on the side. Just thinking about it makes me want to jump in the car to get another one. This place is defiantly someplace I would love to come back to!
