Pros: The atmosphere is pretty fair, downstairs there's a bar and dining area. They have a nice open upstairs patio with a full bar and large dining area; the patio also has a great view of the cityscape. Cons: The food. The food was not great; more than bland, less than savory as well. Everything I ordered (which was a lot) was fairly disappointing. Also, very minimal parking on the street if they're busy, however valet is available. Overall I would suggest this place is great for a drink, and perhaps an appetizer; definitely not the place if you're looking for an impressive meal.

Went to Prana on a Thursday night with 10 people.  There's not much good about Prana and there's a lot that's bad.  The menu looked ok and the prix fix seemed like a good deal.  The space seemed big and vibrant at first glance.  Then it started to go wrong.  I ordered the petite fillet tacos as an app and one of the three tacos tasted like it had rotten meat.  Jenny ordered the vegetarian soup and they sent out a soup with chicken in it.  It then took them another ten minutes to send the right soup.  When it arrived it wasn't particularly good and the spoon fell into the bowl.  Then the 2nd spoon fell into the bowl. Generally I wouldn't fault a restaurant for having cutlery fall into their soup bowl but then, when Jenny got the curry as her main dish and her fork got ejected out of the bowl, it seemed like there might be something haunted about the place.  Maybe ghosts rotted my tacos too.  Besides, on second glance I realized that I had a strange feeling of deja vu because the place is actually part of Temple (the dance club).  That was confirmed when the bass came on from the room below the restaurant and the floor started shaking.  My main dish was the ravioli and it was pretty mediocre.  Definitely should have ordered the pepper steak (which my friend had and which was definitely the best thing anyone at the table got). All in all, no one was particularly happy with their main dish and my attempt to drown out the bad taste with a dessert didn't work well.  We ordered three desserts for 10 people and all three were left half eaten.  Even the drinks were left half drunk and my friends definitely aren't ones to usually let good booze go to waste.  Service was off but not awful and the meal wasn't particularly pricey which saved Prana from 1 star but definitely I'll never go back.

This is the first review I have written in months.  I was trying to figure out what I have been doing all this time, and what my first review back on Rateclub would be...and although I had a great summer filled with travels, my discovery of Bruno's stands out to me. I'm at the point in my life where the nightclubs that appealed to me when I was younger actually repel me, but not quite at the point where I only want to frequent dive bars and art galleries.  This is why Bruno's is perfect for me and my friends...it is the perfect combination of bar and club. As was previously mentioned, it is pretty nondescript from the outside, but you walk in you are pleasently surprised by the decor...dark leather booths, leapard print carpet, a long shiny bar...then you realize that there are 3 other rooms altogether in the bar.  When you get bored with the dj or the people in the main room, you can run to the back bar area, or the Pussycat Lounge. The best part about Bruno's isn't the decor or the music, though.  It's the fact that it is in the Mission, so it has that laid-back vibe, and the people are friendlier and more fun than the soma or marina variety.  Basically, I'm really glad I found it and it has become the go-to place for me when I want to have without all the stress.
