by Wendy P. on The best cheese papusa I have ever had!! I also had the banana empanadas that were very good. The only thing I didn't love was the corn tamales and I think that may have been a result of choosing that they be fried instead of steamed. What is a girl supposed to say when the waitress offers to fry an already delicious food! I thought that I couldn't go wrong because pretty much everything is better fried. Well, it really just dried them out:-( The cosmo martinis were also very good. I'll definitely be back for the great service, great prices and delicious papusas.
by jenna l. on Cafe du Nord is cool because it's small, and you can get really good food. I discovered the band "Something for Animals" there. And I've seen "the Lovemakers" there a few times. And my favorite band "Something for Rockets" played there. The only bad part about this venue is that if it's really crowded you can get stuck in the back, and you can't see the band anymore. But if it's a no name show, it's great. You can get dinner and drinks and listen to the band, and buy some merchandise and have a great time. There's parking around that neighborhood too. And the Lucky 13 bar is right next door to change it up after dinner/pre show.
by Debera Oblow on Great Service. Excellent wine list. For those of you who like to eat outside of the box, try the grilled squid with olives or the braised octopus. For everyone else, there is nothing on this menu that will disappoint.
