by Jennifer C. on This past Sunday was my first time at Deep. I came up with the party from down south - BRINGIN' SD TO LA!! We had a blast!! The venue and staff are great! I loved how open the space was and patio was such a nice change. The sound in the Vangaurd is amazing - The huge DJ booth/area was set up so well. There was room to dance without getting in the way of the dj's and to be able to see the sea of people all dancing to the same beat was incredible. There was a lot of love shown to our DJ's and we can't wait to come back for more!!
by Taina Corradini on I woke up at 5 am. I have a full day of work ahead of me. My girlfriend took me to the Kong last night. I even have a friend who used to work there and recommends the place with confidence. Why am I up writing this review at this ungodly hour of the morning? For the part of the population who suffer from MSG-poisoning, do not go to the Kong. I can take an average amount of MSG. But the levels of MSG here compelled me to drink 5-7 full glasses of water while at the restaurant itself. I thought I'd be fine, but I had night terrors and had to fight demons off until I couldn't take it anymore. I feel like it's 1 in the afternoon. Screw you, Kong. Hong Kong = MSG NIGHT TERRORS.
