Cielo brings some of the best DJs to NYC, and they remain *fairly* drama free.  Sure there are lines at the door, but usually the clipboard nazis respect that *actual* list and give you whatever comp you're supposed to get. On any given night they'll have a someone spinning, and close you're eyes it'll probably be good.  One thing I don't totally love is how the dancefloor is two steps *DOWN* so you can get caught up a bit at the edges. Unlike D36, Cielo *DOES* have various drink options that are workable.  Go for the 20oz Sapporo if you want to pace yourself! I saw Carl Craig and Danny Krivit both recently here (past month) to give you an idea of the goodness in store...

Temple is one of my favorite places to get crazy. With a large venue, multiple rooms with multiple DJs, a diverse crowd, and great drinks, Temple always guarantees a good time and nights you'll forget. The rooms range from dingy and cool, to pretty and posh. Everyone minds their own business and leaves you and your tipsy friends to enjoy the night. What is also different about Temple is that the club rarely throws people out, which can either be a good or bad thing. My group has had some insane drunkies whom we've had to carry out, but we've never been kicked out before. Maybe it's because it's so big that no one can keep track of all those severely intoxicated but still breathing. Seriously, there's a high chance of getting lost or losing your friends here due to size. So, find new friends to dance with and/or new boys to get "friendly" with while you're in the clear! (No, I've never, nuh-uh). Tip: Don't EVER eat dinner here. Not only is it expensive, but it's gross and it'll make you think less of Temple, which you absolutely shouldn't! :D

"BLAH" It's kind of a cloned nightclub, nothing creative about it. The walls change colors, blah-who cares, that's about it. I can't knock the door staff, they were respectful, at least the way they treated me and my friend. The bathrooms are a disgrace, absolute disgrace. They don't even have a toilet in the men's room! There are 2 urinals, and on top of it they have a bathroom attendant! So it's nice and crowded in the little men's room they have. The DJ was weak. They need to look into hiring a better DJ if they want to stay in business.
