Last night I visited this restaurant for the second time. I found the food was again very good, but the way the restaurant is run is horrible which I had forgotten from my previous visit. Since it was game 6 of the NBA Finals the restaurant was only half full, yet despite a nice server the service was slow and items were forgotten. The women's bathroom was filthy and some stalls had no toilet paper (during my first visit to this restaurant there was an attendant in the bathroom-which can be awkward, but at least it was clean). The final straw was it took 20 minutes to get my car when the only tickets given to the attendant were the two from my friend and me. First the parking attendant brought up a very expensive Mercedes and insisted that it was my friend's car which is an Audi. She had to argue with him that it was not her car, lucky for them she is honest because it was a very nice high-end Mercedes sedan. Until this was sorted out they didn't bother to search for my car which apparently was parked far away. For this pleasure they charged us $10 per car and offered up a few "sorrys". This situation reminded me that there were valet problems during my last visit too. When all is said and done, it wasn't worth the experience, there is plenty of good food in L.A. I can't recommend this restaurant.

I went here 'cuz I haven't seen one of my high school friends in years and we happened to be in Seattle in the same weekend. She was part of a wedding which the party decided to do some preclubbing the night before the wedding reception so I tagged along to meet up and share some good times. It was in pioneer square and seemed pretty sketchy with some transients asking for money and pretending to sob as we waited in the guestlist line...in which of course we didnt' make so we paid 10 bucks each I think. NOT worth the 10 bucks but it was for the company. Drinks were ok music was ok but it was super crowded in the hip hop section. We roamed around and found that there were other rooms that played house and other stuff totally different and had different bar sections. bonus I guess. I liked the little loft area with couches the most though 'cuz it gave us a breather now and then. However, it didn't impress me. I felt like I can be in SF and do the same thing but better. Also...ran into some not so nice people who wanted to pick a fight w/ my bf when i told the guy "no thanks we have boyfriends" when he was trying to hit on us. Sleezy much?

Hip watering hole in the front, good house party in the back, (with none of the obnoxious underage drinking and a much better view). Lo Fi is Lo Key and we like it that way. If you wanna hear some fresh beats and indulge in some local b-boy flavor this is it. It's alright to be a wall-flower and observe or hit the floor and shake it out--even if you don't know what you're doing. Just stay out of the real talent's way so they can do the thing right. You won't be disappointed. edit: Lost so many stars. To be fair i haven't successfully been here for 2 years until last night for various reasons. Sorry I came, here's why: This is the second attempt on my part within a month, showed out on a Thursday and didn't expect much anyway--but there really wasn't a thing going on and they were asking a ten dollar cover, there was supposed to be some jazz and I guess it hadn't started yet. Now last night we bit it and paid the cover--10$--we thought dude said "2" but it was too late by the time we realized we weren't getting change back from our 20. The front still looked okay, but as if there had been some ill advised remodeling. The result was a tiny front/bar area that easily looked packed. Once they did open the back room we discovered it was "house" night. Not my thing. But even if it was there would have been no one to dance with anyway. The people who must've known what they were coming to didn't even look like they were having a good time. I don't know where the hip hop went but I know there was someone "DJ"ing from their mac book--ie, just playing premixed shit from i-tunes? Also, screening the movie Badlands doesn't exactly get you hyped. On top of it, I was charged for club soda who does that? Not going back...unless I'm missing something?
