I'm not a big sandwich person (the food, you pervs) but I had to pick something up pretty quickly and it was rated well on this tool I've heard of called rateclubs. So I called in an order for their two most popular sammies -- which are pretty similar -- and some cookies. I got there, picked it up, paid for it and was out in about 3.2 minutes. Seriously, it was that fast. The sandwich bread (rye and sourdough) was fantastic -- not surprising since it's a bakery -- and the ingredients were piled high. Bacon, turkey, avocado, tomato with a smear of ranch. Fresh, fast, healthy and *not* the terminally overrated Thundercloud.

The first time we went to Grace we had a great time. The second time we went to Grace it was one of the worst experiences of my life. It was busy, so I wasn't too bothered by the fact that our food was taking a while to come out, until I realized that everyone around us was eating, including the two tables who had come in after us. After finally flagging down the guy who took our order for, he finally realized he forgot about us and brought out half of the order, so only one of us could eat while the other one watched for 20 minutes. To add insult to injury there was the longest black hair in my ice tea (barf). To top it off we had to ask again to even find our waiter (who had vanished) to ask for the check, and there was no discount on the bill.

Balance host Saturday night and it is fun. In general, if a venue plays house music it almost gets automatic high ratings in my book. This place in particular has one of the best vibes around. The people in here really appreciate their house music and it shows when you see the dance floor. Don't be intimated by those people that are able to put a dance show because all that matters in here is to let the music move you. Also, you can dress comfortably because people are going to expect you to move, get hot and sweaty on the dance floor. Finally, it fortunately lacks the pretentiousness of a Hollywood boulevard club.
