Go here for the obvious - to see live music. Don't go here for the food. I love seeing shows here. It is just the right size to really feel like you are being sung to directly from the artist. The place has amazing acoustics and you will really enjoy seeing your favorite acts there - both upstairs in the restaurant/bar area and downstairs on the main stage. WCL brings both small, local acts and larger, well-known performers so there is always something of interest. The free shows at noon on Fridays are not to be missed either. Sign up to get on their mailing list or better yet, become a supporter. You will have first dibs on upcoming acts and tickets. As mentioned, food is not great. I have never been blown away by anything and have mostly been disappointed. But I will not deny them stars because of this since its a music venue at its core. Tip - go there to buy your tickets before the show. You will save on handling charges. It's not much but helps, especially if you are buying several tickets. Check out their upcoming schedule and treat yourself to a show, or stop by for Happy Hour and enjoy some live local music.

Went the other day for the first time in a long time. My daughters chicken burger was burnt, My dish was undercooked. Service was mediocre and I got sick later. Not going back.

Girls night out in the city at Slide! Well at least the ones who survived pre-saki bombs & basil martinis... Apparently it was a reservations only night, but somehow, some reason the random dudes in front of us paid for our way in. I had no expectations of the place what so ever and was pleasantly surprised by the welcome of the wooden slide down to the dance floor. With my 4 inch heels off, down I went, and boy was it fast. Anyhoot, this place was jammed packed! Felt like sardines up in this joint. I found myself a nice little corner and that's when the night really began. The DJ definitely knew his stuff. One of the best reps I've heard. It was a mixture of 80's dance / electronica / house. An hour and a half of dancing and I had to get out of there. I was sweaty, getting claustrophobic, and feeling a bit dizzy from the nights intake of beverages. With the exception of the obviously over capacitated room, I would definitely come here again. The vibe, the mixed crowd, and the music definitely made this be the poppin' place of the night. I'm giving this place 4 stars for good company, good music, and a good flippin' time and -1 star for being a complete fire hazard.
