Once upon a time, this place was one of the clubs my college friends and I used to frequent in San Francisco. We usually went on Friday nights, when DNA Lounge was home to the Remedy parties (which I believe are held at Temple now). Being an avid Remedy-groupy, I followed that party from its origins at Big Heart City (yes, I'm THAT old) to DNA Lounge. The club is actually a great sized venue. You walk in, and then you enter a large room with a bar on one end and a huge stage on the other end. The main floor is packed with folks either piss poor drunk or on some kind of euphoric substance. Watch out for the stage...it's usually filled with b-boys trying to show off. The main room usually played amazing house music, but if you wanted some hip-hop, you could climb the stairs to the second floor. That room had great underground and old school hip-hop, but the room itself was pretty nasty. LOL...it got so hot in there, that the sweat would make the room condensate, and when it got VERY hot, the ceiling would drip sweat. It definitely needed some kind of ventilation system. I haven't been to this place in years, but I've definitely have had many crazy memories at this venue! Oh, one last great thing about this place...there's a pizza parlor next door open when the club is...talk about after-drinking-munchies =)

Located in the Lindbergh area of Atlanta, this is a nice little nightclub that I enjoy a lot. I love the layout of the place, it's very nice and modern and seems to be very clean. It doesn't give off the spilled drinks vibe that other places gives off. Also, there's SPACE here... i don't mean that it's empty, but you don't feel like a sardine in a can so you can actually dance if you want to. Crowd is very nice too... not pretentious as far as I can tell, pretty diverse, and pretty good looking. Someone told me this club used to be very asian-centric but that's not true at all, it's actually probably accurate to the actual racial demographics Atlanta actually has, haha. While I wouldn't say that this place is a meat market necessarily like other clubs, it is a dance club and so obviously there are some creepers but it's not excessive. Prices are typical for a club. Not exorbitant but name me a club in any city that is cheap. I have heard that the door people can be a bit mean, which I can see. Has not happened to me at all so maybe i've gotten lucky. I did see one or two guys get turned away at the door for not having the right dress code, so I guess they do enforce that strictly. I was allowed entrance the two times I went with no problem but I did get a very negative vibe from both of the bouncers there, just like in every other club in the world. Big time power trips going on, it'd be nice to meet a polite Patrick Swayze-type bouncer like in Roadhouse... without the roundhouse kicking of course. I'm definitely going back!

i've only been here once, but it was AWESOME when i went. granted it was graduation weekend last year and my crowd was just overall happy and excited. but the place is really cool with it's outdoor area, indoor dance floor, multiple bars, and TACO LADY, FONDUE, STILT WALKERS/DANCERS, AND FIRE JUGGLERS!!!! it was off the chain. loved this place. i want to go again! the only negative is there's a $20 cover. i just hate covers in general bc that's less money for me to spend on having a good time inside!
