by Chili B. on The tacos are pretty good. The pollo asada (grilled chicken) taco Nick's Way (additional .95 for a crispy tortilla and guacamole) - totaling $4.45 per taco. Good...but if you want a few it gets pricey. The baja fish taco regular style was good. The fish is freshly fried with cabbage and mayo lime -pretty good.. but at $4.95 a pop - again pricey if you want a few. The meat all around was good quality. No chips included either. Lame. ($1.25 extra) But there are two types of salsa on each table (one green, one red) The ambiance is kinda cool - I love the big red booths.

Oh, the Vomitorium, everytime i grace the hipster-stained insides of your walls with my presence, me or someone im with shouts screaming vomit during the course of the nite... Without fail or hesitation blackouts always ensue, hipsters grumpley get offended, and someones puke hits the floor or street. Undeniably classless, i know.... And maybe a man not as morally bankrupt as myself would be crippled with shame and self-resentment over these tortuously drunken tendencies of ours.... But, sweet apathy prevails yet again, making me warm with the always full functioning inability to regret my actions. And even though this place has the same horrible beer as its ugly, ragamuffin sibling..."the tap", it makes me happy. The food is better, the staff is less pretentious, and the atmospehere is much more gritt-tastic. i always seem to stick with the whiskey, eat the octopus and i always end up enjoying what i remember of the nite. Johnny Brendas, a $20 cab ride there, a $45 cab ride home. perfect.
by Audrey J. on I'm in agreement with the other rateclubs ladies -- *nose wrinkle* all the way and unfortunately not even a decent sampling of eye candy of either sex to make up for it. A bonus star awarded solely for the company -- you know your rateclubsers are good people if you're enjoying yourself with them even when entrenched in this type of a setting.* * -- For a description of said setting, See, e.g., Maria M.'s review, supra.
