Yes what you have read or are reading is true they have $3 fresh fruit mojitos from 5p-2a. They are next door to the cellar, a cool little club atmosphere which also has happy hour which starts at 5p. The mojitos are ok, I would request less mint leaves and fruit, so that you aren't sucking the hell out of the straw to only get a chunk of mint leaf, or strawberry in your straw or in the back of your throat. YES its that serious. Other than that Mike the bartender has a heavy hand when it comes to pouring, which is always a plus. However if you venture out and order something like a Bacardi coke, you will just be drinking coke! Shame Shame Shame.

Either this place has really good food or I came on the right night. Our spunky waitress told us there was a new chef. We were nervous, but didn't disappoint at all! Cocktails were yummy. I had the Colada (substituted gin for rum...I hate gin!), my friend had another cocktail with Summer in the name. We were instantly sucked into our drinking choices because of our shared admiration for ginger. These drinks didn't disappoint with their respective lemongrass and honey notes, respectively. Appetizers: She had the Chicken Roti, I had the Gumbo. Again, very well executed. Her Chicken Roti was like a burrito with spiced shredded chicken inside and a creamy coconut sauce on top. My gumbo was very fresh tasting and had plenty of meats/seafood in it. Spicy too! Yum. I had to fight to keep from licking the bowl. Entrees: She had the salmon which looked like it had a sweet chili sauce on it. I had the lamb burger. YUMMY! The lamb was sooooo well flavored. Okay, with all of the aforementioned pros, I have to be honest about the cons: $8 for a bowl of gumbo (although delicious) is a bit steep. And it wasn't like the bowl was massive, but maybe $6 would've have been more appropriate. My friend's salmon didn't really come with a side. Wassup with that? My lamb burger was kinda small, but satisfying. If you were a guy, you'd be kinda pissed about the entree portion sizes. Dessert: Waitress said they're made from scratch. Not good. At all. My friends cobbler was waaaaay to brown at the top. Almost burnt? And there wasn't enough crust...everyone who eats cobblers LOVEs the crust. Where was the crust? I had the rum pound cake. Too dry. We both had brown sugar ice cream accompanying our desserts (for an extra $2). That was the star of the dessert show. That ice cream is tha bizness! Overall, we paid $41 a piece (not including tip) for our meals. I think at $41 you should at least be able to get a side, crust with your cobbler, and moist cake. You should still go tho. The food is good, and they just opened their rooftop 3 weeks ago. That's gonna be fly.

We attended a charity drag queen bingo event at Busby's and had a great time. The mc's were a riot, the service staff were friendly and totally on top of their game and the food was better than average bar food. Parking, if you get there right at 7pm, is free on the Wilshire.
