by Keena Vivier on $2 tuesdays...and i enjoyed a tasty pomegranate martini (aka "cougar"). i've been wanting to come here because the signage they post outside regarding drink specials clearly does its job. the interior is intimate and the layout is great. so, why -1 star...the bartenders are a purposely oblivious. how many times can someone get ignored or passed by when it's dead in there?
by Dee W. on Love the music and enthusiasm of this place! The band was awesome, especially the brass. We didn't eat that night...just had some drinks and danced. It was VERY hot in the place - so many bodies! I was impressed that a lot of single individuals standing on the sides got asked to dance. It seems everyone is very willing to partner up for a song. They also offer free salsa lessons on Wednesday evening so we went back. The lessons was enough of a beginner to keep up and enough basic to use later. Be prepared to switch partners (which is not as scary as it sounds - because most everyone is scared). The nice thing is that when it was over you feel like you know everyone in the restaurant!
by Keri Schlipf on I came here for a really good friend's birthday. I don't like this place. Yes, I know... It's not my scenery and so I'm biased... Yada yada yada.... But I have been to places that I thought I wouldn't like (low expectation), I had been proven wrong before. In fact, the best way to impress me was by letting me have a low expectation first... Anyways... The place was supposed to be a lounge. I was hoping for an intimate room with chairs and booths, and we can hangout and chat with friends with classy jazz music playing in the background. I mean, for a place with strict dress code, I don't think I was wrong to expect that, right? What I found was a loud noisy club where I had to scream to talk to anybody. I am too old for this... I will never come here again.
