by Harvey Montalgo on Ahh, the EndUp. Every person who frequents the San Francisco bar/club scene knows of or has been to the EndUp. After a long night of drinking, this is the place you "end up". What's not to like about this place? (1) Great music! The DJ line-up is always a list of either locally-known or industry-known house DJs. (2) Strong drinks! As with all "open-minded" venues in SF, I have this feeling that they intentionally make the drinks strong, so you keep coming back to more. I dunno...that's just what I think. (3) Dope vibe! EndUp is usually more packed after-hours, and if you are one of those lucky folks who could last that long, you know that the only people left after 2:00 am are the "real" party-people! Sure, they stop selling alcohol, but there's nothing like a red bull to keep that energy alive. (4) Amazing patio! It doesn't look like it from outside, but the EndUp has a pretty huge outside patio. There's seating all over the place, and there's even a waterfall! Crazy, I know. If you're partying in SF, just try to check this place out. Then, when you drive by this place, you could at least you could say "hey, I've partied there!"
by Jeff Y. on This is a really nice place to watch a game. On an NFL Sunday, they literally have every game not just showing, but visible on a TV from your seat, regardless of where you are in the restaurant. It's a whole other place for a UT Football game. The place will pack out of the door, and they pump in the overhead sound (TV Announcers, not Craig Way), and it's one of the more enjoyable football watching atmospheres not named DKR Memorial Stadium. I also have had the burgers on multiple occasions, as Cover 3 did get Texas Monthly's #12 Top burger selection in the state. The burgers come on a ciabatta bun, which will most likely get soggy if you don't finish within 5-10 minutes or so. I can't tell if they added parmesan cheese or not to the bun, but it's got a nice taste upon first juicy bite. The basic add-ons are pretty fresh, but I have to say I could barely taste the $$ cheddar. A slightly larger portion of cheese would be greatly appreciated, at least one that covers the whole patty. It's a good burger, overall. I do get the feeling its Texas Monthly review got a gameday bias bump, but if you're going to watch a game, this is definitely a good meal choice.
by Lesley Benninger on Went here on a Saturday night. It's definitely an older crowd. Think 30s-40s. So depending on your age group that may be good or bad. The venue is fairly large and not bad at all. Expect door drama out front. Drinks were strong.
