Awesome venue, good service. Place was spacious with good drinks and great music! pros: free chocolate covered strawberries all night, hip-hop/top 40 playlists, courteous bartenders cons: little trouble at the door due to mis-spelled name, doorman was rude, but not enough to give it 4 starts. Takeaway: Great nightclub venue to go with friends, we did table service so can't say how the line was. Would for sure go back, and would recommend to friends as well.

Thick buttery challah french toast, dipped in a sweet cinnamon batter, covered in warm bananas, cannoli cream, and mini chocolate chips. I think Cafe Lift is second, only to Honey's, on my list of the best brunch spots in the city. They are cash only, FYI. Also worth noting, many brunch places in Philly don't open til 11.  Cafe Lift and Honey's are good options if you're ready for your brunch earlier in the day.

A fairly solid, and from what I can tell, multi-purpose venue (this past weekend had ghettotech/booty house icons DJ Assault and DJ Funk within twenty-four hours of the silken deep house of Miguel Migs' Salted traveling residency).  Then there's the Mighty Breaks night, if that's your bag. I've visited a few times over the last two years as a non-SF resident for events ranging from deep house to Love Parade after-party to indie hip-hop to a private event, and honestly, now that I live here, it seems that the vibe that earned the venue "Best New Dance Club in America" has waned a bit since my visits, but it's still a good spot. Nevertheless, there are plenty of pluses to be found here.  It's more inviting (and sanitary) than DNA Lounge, significantly bigger than Pink, and has far fewer sharks swimming around the tank than Ruby Skye.  It's also infinitely more removed from the rest of the city than any of the aforementioned.  I noticed an e-tard or two that I had to move my girlfriend away from before they fell on her tiny 5'3" frame, but I've seen much worse in my lifetime. The soundsystem isn't Phazon, but it's good enough to not leave the crowd one step closer to full-blown tinnitus. The bathrooms are clean enough that I don't feel like I have to give my hands an OCD cleaning after opening a stall or even hitting the urinal (End-Up and DNA, I'm looking at you), and that's satisfying. When it's crowded, things can get hairy, and on nights that I've gone, either the vibe has made up for the crowd, or it's been a waiting game for last call and the (Bay) Bridge and Tunnel-rati to wrap up the mating game long enough for the heads to have some space to dance.  But, as I've discovered, that seems to be the norm for going out on the weekends in SF when you're a house head. Drinks aren't poured too awfully, and the bartenders are dependably attentive, even under pressure.  No real complaints in regard to service when I've gone. Security is an expected "firm but friendly."  I haven't encountered any douchebaggery from them, nor the guestlist/door girls when I've gone. Why am I not pulling out the big bag of superlatives and giving it a five?  A: Because I'm a critic for a living, and that means that earning a five takes something special, and B: Mighty is consistently dependable, but never pole vaults into excellence.  Before I lived in San Francisco, I was more likely to say, "I went to Miguel Migs' residency in SF" than "I went to MIGHTY for Miguel Migs' residency in SF."  That's the difference between being a solid venue, and an outstanding one.  On a good night, Mighty is dependable.  On a bad night, Mighty has the same problems that plague virtually any club I've gone to in this city.  Can't say fairer than that.
