by Patricia D. on I've never had the courage to try any food from here, chiefly because I've only come here on 2nd Sundays when the "menu" consists of greasy things that are unappetizing no matter how hungry I feel when I see the swarm of flies hanging out by the counter. That said, my experience has been purely dance 'n drink. A word to the wise: pay for your drinks in CASH even if you go upstairs to the bar that accepts credit cards. BOTH times I've been here something shady has happened regarding my credit card charges: the first time they WAY overcharged me for my drinks (as in $48 instead of $16) and I had to diploomatically dispute with a manager for a solid 20 minutes; this time, I noticed on my credit card bill that I was charged TWICE for my transaction. Granted, once I made the call to my credit card company they fixed things, but I almost wonder if it wasn't an accident. And as a former structural engineering, being on that deck off the back freaks me out.

And then you are subjected to 2 minutes of some idiot trying to sell you a pitch. In the meanwhile you are ready to bust out of your pants? 2 minutes and 5 seconds later you run to the porcelain god and you are suddenly relieved of your heavy burden. This is how I felt when I didn't put my party on the guest list in advance. My stomach was in knots, I was just waiting to be relieved... Waiting to be relieved by getting into the club at a decent hour. Waiting to be relieved by some miracle that I wouldn't have to pay the cover. After all, I arrived well after 11:30pm (prime time to make anyone in the line wait outside until 1am). And then suddenly, it was like God heard my prayer. The people in line started to separate like the Red Sea, and then I saw him... Holy moly, one of my favorite guy promoters was there. Hey Steve K. (ladies, he is single- and- looking). Right behind him was Eric C. Both gentlemen are with http://www.nexlevelpro.... Hey guys, thanks for hooking a sister up! With a flush of a toilet, I was relieved of my burden of ill executed plans of not putting us on the guest list and getting there super duper late. ***As a control freak my stomach was in knots and I was totally anxious because going to Mood was a total last minute thing. Like, oh we are out of dinner at 11 wanna party? I am not comparing Mood to a toilet. Wait time was minimal... Sweet! nex level productions / on / glam. I've partied a lot with you people. Hey Paul! Hey Gary! Hey Ben! Hey Eric! Hey Steve! Man, I sound like a floozy... Susy the Floozy... I so set myself up for that one. The party was a blast. The music was lively and I was dancing all night! I remember the drinks being around $10 dollars, not bad considering that this is one of the trendier clubs in Hollywood. Get on the guest list! I would suggest valet. Or read the street signs carefully. Hollyweird has odd parking time limits.
by Sven S. on Only popped in here for a quick drink and hello to some peoples. The bar itself seemed pretty standard, but I'm giving them 4 stars for the fact that they have Carlsberg on tap. Having lived in Sweden and having gone on the Carlsberg brewery tour in Copenhagen 9 times, I can say that this stuff is in my veins.
