I like Mighty...it's just one semi-big room with a small stage for the dj/act, about 2-3 benches and you have 1 bar area. Parking was never a problem for me. Although I wish they upgrade their sound system, every time I go, I swear, my ears are bleeding.

I've been dragged to this place twice by my two dance-club loving friends and have been miserable both times. Those two friends will always be quick to point out to me that the first time there I met an awesome girl who I ended up dating for two months but I say freak coincidence.  Hell, the only reason we met is because I was sitting alone, miserable at the bar, unable to hear my own thoughts and trying to get as drunk as possible so as to at least get something out of the night when I look over, we lock eyes and yadda yadda yadda. The place is way too crowded with goons and pseudo elitist thugs who will give you the evil eye if you're not wearing the required $160 Nike "kicks" with super baggy designer jeans and one of those (you name the brand) hip-hop star created "designer" brand name hip-hop thug shirts and/or hoodies. It's bad enough that there's no room to stand while being smashed between the snoop-dog wannabe, the jay-z wannabe and the eminem wannabe but then when you do actually find one person that you do want to talk to you have to cup your hand around their ear and scream just to get the simplest message across.  It took like six tries just to get the aforementioned ex's first name.  I can't even begin to describe the difficulty of the number exchange. Also, even if dancing is your thing this place still sucks.  The dance floor is way over-crowded despite the fact that 80% of the people on it aren't dancing, they're just standing around looking hard while trying to be seen.  This problem could also stem from the fact that the bar and the dance floor occupy the same real estate which is a huge no-no for me.  There's gotta be some separation. Really, there is NO reason to waste your time here if you ask me.  Unless, of course, you want to be surrounded by wannabe hip-hop stars who want you to look at them and realize that they're way cooler than you'll ever be (but really not).

First time I dined at South City Kitchen with Tulie L, I was very indifferent about it.  Call me a "northern gal," I just did not feel too comfortable (or satisfied) with fried and salty food.  I was bummed out.  I mean, I heard so many good things about this place!  However, I remember the incredible service my waiter provided and the beautiful interior design!  So I went back - something I never do if I was disappointed by the restaurant previously.  This time, I went with Hyeon J. and another friend. Once again, did I mention the ambiance?  Comfortable and cozy, if this doesn't scream "Southern," I don't know what does.  Oh, and did I mention the service?  This is true southern hospitality: Smiling faces, relaxed, and friendly!  David was our waiter for the night and he provided AMAZING service!  Undoubtedly one of the best services I've gotten in a long time. The only thing that's keeping me away from giving South City Kitchen five stars is the food.  I warned you earlier: I'm not the typical southern gal.  Perhaps I don't appreciate southern cooking, but I wasn't blown away by the dishes.  I actually asked the chef to make my Catfish dish not too salty - an ultimate no-no in southern kitchen.  Yeah, I know.  Chef probably got my order and thought, "WTF?"  Nonetheless, he did it!  I had a dish that wasn't too salty!  I really appreciated that.  We ordered a full, 4-course meal - from appetizer to dessert.  Among all that, the She-Crab Soup, Mac & Cheese, and Banana Pudding were my favorites. I don't know southern cooking that well, but I think South City Kitchen successfully captured the essence of southern cooking.  However, they tweaked the menu a little to make it more contemporary, making this restaurant a great place to stop by if you have a visitor from other part of the states.
