by Olivia G. on Came here with one girl friend... she remembered it being 'different' but I had never been. The crowd was okay, I didn't have the best time... But then we decided to sit down and take a picture, and my friend's purse/clutch/lookedmorelikeamakeupbag was stolen.. it sucked partly because I was too intoxicated to grasp the severity (she drove from where we originally went that night (where my car was) to here). The bouncers (who were extremely flirtatious and not doing their job) were fairly helpful.. after the club closed (and during it still being opened) they walked around with flashlights helping us look even though it was obvious that my friend was 'got' and there was no point in trying to look. The drinks were good though :)
by Taylor Yonemori on I've gone here a few times, mostly for concerts and have had fun here. It's a really, REALLY, I mean, REALLY OLD venue that's withstood time as well as all the brouhaha of the nightlife scene that's occurred in the past year+ or so. Webster Hall has long lost it's "it" scene status and based on the dark and "what you see is what you get" appearance....WH is not trying to be anything more than a reliable venue you can go to for live performances or to shake your thang! I have no problems with it because for an old place, the stereo system still kicks out the beats! It's a big venue with multiple floors and because of this, it feels spacious and even when it's packed, there's still room to maneuver and dance! This is one club where I've not dealt with attitude from the bouncer(s). They have all been on the more "pleasant" side and don't act like morons who believe they're "Masters of the Universe".
