"I'll be at the frying pan," she said. I thought my friend was trying to use a figure of speech/idiom, but it's actually a boat! And not only is it a boat, it's a bar on a boat!! I immediately googled it and discovered that the Frying Pan was salvaged from the Chesapeake Bay, and being a Maryland girl, I was a fan right away. It's such a fun thing to do on a sunny warm afternoon with a good group of friends, but it may be crowded and tough to find an open table if you go when everybody goes right after work. But the beers and mixed drinks are fairly priced (I believe you can get a bucketful of Corona for pretty cheap) and they have Old Bay Garlic Fries!! I loooove Old Bay. You also get a pretty nice view of the NJ Hudson "skyline." It gets cold when the sun goes down though since it's on the water. But fun, reasonably priced drinks, and it's on a boat! But no T-Pain.

The beau heard about this before I did and decided he wanted us to go there for his birthday. It was a Friday so we had to wait about an hour to get seated, not too bad. I'm sure this will improve when it gets warmer because of their outdoor seating. Once we were seated, the service was speedy and good. We both had Manhattans to start off and they were delicious. The smoked cherries were an interesting kick. I had the lamburger and the vodka battered onion rings. I enjoyed both but I found the sauces more interesting and flavorful. He was adventurous and got the Steak Tartar burger, which he said tasted great, and the sweet potato tots which were alright. The Nutella and Burnt Marshmellow milkshake was as great as everyone has said. We also tried the Krispy Kreme one which was really rich, but good. Overall I enjoyed my experience at Flip and will probably try to go back when the crowd dies down some.

Gay + Latin = muy delicioso Wednesday is Latin night at Venu... Gay Latin Night. And, there are tons of hot latin guys in Boston. The DJ was awesome, playing some seriously funktastic beats. The decorum was fantastic, and the random mixes of foxy brown and napoleon dynamite dancing on the big screens were off the hook. $10 cover... eh... better than $20.... just a nice crowd, and a rad time.
