by Sascha M. on They used to play really, really good music here. They still play pretty good music. The crowd is kind of random, you can definitely see an aging 50 something househead dancing with her twentysomething daughter. Still a better option than Pacha for dirty house beats.
by Mathew S. on Went to Carnival my 2nd time and it was quite a disappointing experience. My friends and I had been there right when Carnival first opened and it was great! There was no cover, a really awesome magician/hypnotist, jugglers, sword swallower, tranny balloon animal artist, and a 2 gallon liquor drink!! The same friends decided to plan a big get together to re-experience this awesomeness. First, we were told it opened at 7PM, but we get there and they tell us they don't open until 9. Next, we're each asked to cough up $10 for a coat check/entrance fee that includes 5 game tickets. Then we see the menu, and all the prices had gone up by about 20%!!! No magicians, sword swallowers, balloon animals, or jugglers to be found. The guys working behind the game booths were very obnoxious and even insulted my friend. Will not be going back here again. The only thing keeping this place alive is the b&t crowd. Shame on you Carnival for doing me so dirty 2nd time around!
by Miguel Layland on This place is perfect to go with a bunch of friends and have a blast. The dj is great - I didn't stop dancing the entire 4 hrs I was there. where else can you find that? The drinks are LES prices, which = amazing. (my bar tab was $60 and it covered 2 shots of patron, tanqueray martini, jack&coke, and vodka club) Cover's $5 after 11pm or the price of a bubble tea. I just celebrated my birthday party here and while extremely crowded by 11:30pm, it was still a great time. Reserved a few tables and the night went off without a hitch.
