Door Cover: $35 Redbull: $6 Sound: Not bad, thumps if you are in the right spot, Digweed blew a woofer... Lights: C'mon it's not 1990 stop with the lame lazer rave lights...way too bright. Decor: Cheesy but lots of nooks for social interaction. Bouncers/Security: Way too many of them, they are a total buzz kill. Crowd: Reminded me of the Saturday night Avaland crowd Bonus points for the largest disco ball coming out of nowhere during the middle of the night!!! Win.
by Peter L. on So much more than just the best sushi in Atlanta, Hayakawa also has an amazing kitchen with daily offerings ranging from Wasabi marinated raw octopus and jellyfish to fried Japanese river shrimp and bluefin cheek. I hesitate to write this review because I don't want to lose my seat at the bar! Truly an artist, Art transforms simply the freshest fish in town into creations that are both visually appealing and tasty as well! Unbelievable uni flown in fresh from Santa Barbara. Sweet ama ebi. Perfect toro complimented with a touch of truffle oil. I've eaten sushi in some of the best restaurants in Japan, NY, and LA and Sushi House Hayakawa truly ranks at the top of my list. An easy 5 stars!
by Theron Dittman on Food okay (first two dishes). Service...worst I've had in the "world." When I say "world," I really mean "ever." If you are the waitress, hostess and/or owner reading this (since you all came over to our table and apologized multiple times), you know who we are. If you don't remember, let me try to help you... - we spent 3 hours in this restaurant due to the slow service - the pre-fix meal had 4 dishes + 1 dessert, you gave us two dishes and asked if we wanted a check. When we told you we only received two dishes, our third dish came 30mins late, our 4th dish came another 30mins late. Starting from our 3rd dish, everything tasted like shit because of the shitty service. - you came again and asked if everything was good. We said "NO" because we didn't get dessert. I never seen anyone run to the kitchen so quickly. Thanks for the entertainment. - you never got our plates correctly placed in front of us. We had to switch them ourselves - minimum time we had to ask for refills for our diet coke...3 times before we got one - you offered us free additional chocolate cake for the poor service...and you charged us later...WTF? - the 2 waitresses, hostess and owner continually came by and apologized and each spent 5 mins explaining why your service sucked. "Okay...I get it... get out please... We don't want to hear any more excuses..." - (my favorite) You forgot to give us a PEN to sign our checks... At that point, we just left. Thanks Amalia for one thing...every service after yours seems a bit bearable.
