Crowd on Friday nights was pretty good. Drinks were cheap and bottle service was affordable compared to other clubs. DJ was spot on and the ratio was 1-1 guys to girls. Best part of the night was the 80 tribute band ( fast times) those guys rocked! Valet was cheap and the area isnt too bad. I would go back, but i heard Thursday nights is not a night to go if your irritated by 21 year olds who get drunk off 2 drinks and act all stupid, unless your into that kind of thing. LOL

Thank God (Gracias a dios) Glorias has arrived in Austin. Tonight Glorias opened (the restaurant was packed) and I had the distinct pleasure of meeting Gloria after being seated at a table next to Gloria and her family. Anyone who has had the pleasure of eating at her restaurants in Dallas knows how lucky we are to have her here with us in Austin. Almost immediately after being seated, you are treated to warm, fresh tortilla chips with her homemade creamy black bean dip and fresh salsa. Delicious. Appetizers include ceviche, quesadillas, tamales, chicken soup - there's something for everyone. For entrees, you will not be disappointed - the food ranges from Tex-Mex (chicken, shrimp or enchiladas verdes), Mexican (fajitas, tacos al carbon, fish tacos), Salva-Tex (pollo asado, chile rellenos) and Salvadorian food (carne asada, quail, pork tenderloin). Tonight we had the Carne Asada and Carne de res Salvatex - both steaks were unbelievably tender and juicy; you have to use the olive oil and garlic seasoned marinate. It's fantastic. The black beans, rice and guacamole and tomato salad are a perfect compliment. Glorias is known for their desserts - flan, tres leches and their famous chocolate flan. Drinks - amazing sangria, margaritas, mojitos - and more Glorias is open Sun to Thurs 11:00am to 10:00pm The kitchen is open 11am - 11pm on Fridays and Saturdays and there is a Live Salsa Band on Saturdays. They will clear the tables and it will take on a club feel with late night salsa dancing. They have a great late night bar area and it will become a destination. It's one of the best things that's happened in northwest Austin in a long time. !Gracias, Gloria! Bienvenidos a Austin

I just couldn't justify giving this place less than 4 stars. Our waitress was great, and from 12-8 every single day, ALL drinks are 1/2 price. That makes for a small but crazy $5 shot of Patron, and $2.50 beers on tap. We sat on the patio, so I have no idea what it's like indoors, but it's a bar, does it really matter what it looks like? I prefer my bars dark, because the less I can see the better. On the night we went, there were 4 parties taking place, ranging from birthdays to a fraternity reunion. Here's hoping the frat reunion isn't there when you go.
