But with my rosy glasses on, it makes me sip and appreciate the drink I'm holding, which is for the best when the drink is as special as those concocted here. Their absinthe cocktails are masterpieces, and their bartenders definitely know what they're doing. Give them an adjective (fun, celebratory, diabolical) and they will mix you a perfect response. They also get away with the cost because the atmosphere is so undeniably cool. Hostesses in flapper dresses, old films projected on the wall, burlesque dancers shimmying their way into your heart, attention to thematic detail to rival Disneyland...it's a great place to carouse. And hey, catch the eye of some swell gent and he just might be willing to buy a dame a drink.
by nycicon L. on This place is pretty cool...no really much complaints, except that the DJ isn't always up to par with the music on some nights but other that that, I really don't have any disputes with Tropicana. Big enough places where you have enough dance room. They usually have some kind of events to draw you in. Drinks are average price, $8-$9 shots, $9-$12 for a drink. Hey, its better than paying $14-$16, I guess. Definitely attractive females here that come out on a regular basis. Only thing bad if anything that I would have to say is the commute being that I come from BK to come here sometimes...just means I need to get my ass a car already...lol. But very cool place to chill, party and mingle...
by Aubrey Cooksey on Oh man, where to begin. While the bartenders work hard, have fun and aren't entirely mean, the bar and experience itself is way overrated and wholly dissatisfying. The doormen are rude and lazy. The floors, walls, seats and sinks are filthy. The air is stale. One lousy TV hides high in a corner. The Buckhunter guns never work and only serves to steal your money. The biggest draw is the loud and messy beer pong worship. DJ's play bad hip-hop with poorly mixed top 40 and cheese rock. Go elsewhere.
