Update: The management's comment is kinda' funny but sad bc it shows that they are as ghetto as the gangbanger types who were there on Saturday night. Excuse me if I would rather party in a more upscale environment. But hey, if you have no customer service or ability to try and attract patrons back for a better experience, apparently you post on people's reviews that they're ugly inside. Yawn. Lame. They won't last very long at this rate anyways. --------------------------------- No idea why people like this place. We were having dinner down the street and decided to check out this new spot. On a Saturday night, there was literally no line. Uh oh. You know that means it's not going to be good. They were literally cool with letting in anyone off the street. Venue wise, it's large and kinda plain, and it really was kinda' ghetto crowdwise and very very empty. Let's be honest here... The general population is already in n here to stay. Where were the vip's who are supposed to inhabit new spots the first few months? Where were the A list promoters? Nowhere in sight. We did a quick lap, refused our table so we didn't have to party with wannabe gangbanger types, and walked out. It wasn't worth the lipgloss.

Despite walking around downtown quite a bit in search of interesting new lunch spots, I managed to miss this place entirely until Friday. I was headed to meet a friend at the 5 Points MARTA station after work with about 35 minutes to blow. I saw the menu and thought... hey - quick sandwich and I'm on my way - sweet! WRONG. First, the good. I really like the space. Open, trendy, but comfortable. Felt like a friendly neighborhood establishment. I also like the $2.50 PBR tall boys. Nice touch. It feels relaxed. They also have free WiFi which is pretty sweet. Food was pretty fresh and tasted pretty good. Nothing to write home about, but it was solid. I got a BLT, though, which is pretty difficult to screw up. Now for the below average. I sat at the bar for quicker service (so I thought). The bartender was nice enough, but seemed to be actively ignoring me. It was 5 minutes into my speed-dinner that I was acknowledged with an "I'll be right with you." Of course, I had to *literally* wave him down 5 minutes later after he obviously forgot about me. When he brought my salad he said he had to go get silverware. He did so and, of course, returned with no silverware. I ended up having to procure some by my own means. (He never remembered and apologized, either.) Not having long to eat, I scarfed my sandwich and asked for the check. He said 'ok' and then proceeded to ignore me again. I finally started waving my credit card around to remind him and let him know I was in a hurry. He took somebody else's order first then brought me the check. Then realized he rang it up wrong. Re-rang it up. Needless to say, I was late meeting my friend. I would go again, but mainly for a comfy happy hour - a few drinks and maybe an appetizer after work. Not sure I'd recommend it for too much more until they get the service up to par.

What a great space... and it's a good thing, 'cause both times I've been here the wait for food was quite long. I thought the waiters were fine, so it must be a kitchen problem. When the food did come it was decent, not great. Brunch one time, lunch the other. I don't really remember much about brunch - tells you how average it was. Lunch - I had the prosciutto and arugula pizza - ok, but definitely not up to NYC standards - this is NYC baby, wood oven pizza needs to rock. So why 3 stars when the food and wait make it a 2... the place is beautiful. The architect gets 5 stars. Wheelchair access: Very good including a nice bathroom up the ramp. Inside can get a little crowded, but it's not terrible. You want to sit outside though.
