by April K. on As one who is sober, wine bars are hard for me to rate although I hang out in bars on a very regular basis for one who doesn't drink (What a shitty customer right? At least I tip really well). I came here and ordered a large bottle of Pellegrino... which tasted lovely but is certainly not what most people hitting a wine bar are coming in search of. The bar is very nondescript on the outside. No signage. Sort of has that speakeasy feel. When you walk in, its cute. Dimly lit. I was with a birthday party of about 15-20 or so people. It was packed, which really sucks when you're with a large party. We managed to secure a booth but it only seated about 6 of us, so the rest just sort of hung around where they could or smoked out back in the less than fancy, empty, fenced in lot. The place was packed with hipsters being the coolest, and most individualistic as they could, as per protocol. It wasn't exactly my cup of tea (or glass of wine) and it was made worse by the fact that there was some sort of chalk on the walls so when I leaned up against one of them, I came away with one arm covered in white powder. I stayed an hour or two and then politely excused myself.
by Sheree Mcrary on One of the nicest clubs on Sobe, definitely a place to see and be seen, awesome dance music, and Id agree about Saturday nights, but if you dont have a hook up at the door or if you are not a hot chick with 5 other hot girls, then forget about getting in....
