Dear Avalon (not Bardot), We've had an interesting 3 years together, and I've had some recent revelations about our relationship: 1) You're comprised mainly of bad LA stereotypes: -The short (yet in stripped heels), tan, loud and obnoxious bro hoes who have skunk hair and are only around for an "OMG F GUYS WE'RE HAVING A GIRLZ NIGHT!!!!" and begin the night giving each other lap dances, and end the night having sex with a male walking STD -The bros built like a house wear white t-shirts an baseball caps; usually on coke -The guys who take their shirts off (sometimes fat, sometimes super yoked out) and are always sweaty and jumping up and down (they typically step on your foot, and also on coke) -The same asian guys (literally - the samegroup everytime I have gone) who buy out the VIP table on the bottom floor and stand on the leather seats -The misc. - people who actually like the musical act playing, weird loners who just stand and don't move (they like to stand strangely close to others) and the random hipster who "knew this band before they were popular) 2) Your drinks are kind of expensive (but hey this is LA I get it) 3) Your tickets are CRAZY expensive! Often 25-30 PER TICKET but you have some great things going for you! 4) The team at the front door is always on it; they abide by the internet fliers and don't scam you, and I have never been heckled by a door guy 5) There is almost never a wait at the bar, because there are so many 6) The sound system and lighting are INSANE and never half-assed 7) You get great musical acts I look forward to more years in our relationship

We headed over here under the wing of a new friend in NYC. One of our group forgot her ID, they worked it out with our group and let her in. Nice. Thanks for being cool folks! The interior was well designed; the bartenders friendly, fast and efficient. Weird layout of dance floor, which actually wound up with a pretty good dance feel as you only need a few people dancing to make it feel crowded and alive. Big elevated platform down the middle of the dance floor to get up and dance on, as well as multiple levels of areas to dance or sit in surrounding. The DJ had an air-horn that melted my inner ear several times. Otherwise it was a pretty fun night club to end the night at.

Reasons why this is my favorite new spot in the city: -The bartenders are friendly, accomodating, and professional. In fact, three bartenders run the joint. -A wide variety of excellent dj's play there on almost a nightly basis. -The drinks are quality and affordable. -The atmosphere leaves nothing to be desired.
