by Alexis P. on "Because I'm not a 16-year old from Jersey" I think my response may have been wrong to getting the cover charge back after the girls at the door asked this why this place wasn't the scene for me and my companion. Didn't get the cover charge back after 20 minutes in the club, but whatever, that's understandable and not why it gets 1 star. It's because I was nearly bowled over by a wasted chick in the hallway, my bathroom stall door was busted in by another drunk chick looking for her purse, and we tried to dance to the Top 40 played by the DJ while avoiding the stupidly overpriced drink waterfalls from the sloppy (underage) B&T crowd. Friday night was probably the wrong night to go, but I don't plan to find out how it is on any other night. Listen, I lived in Jersey for a while and I don't mean to be so down on the B&T, but the crowd makes or breaks a place, and Tenjune is broken. Unless you've crossed a river and have your fake ID handy.
by Emily R. on Don't go to Trudy's unless you have an hour or two to spare. The service can be pretty crappy, but I guess that's just part of the experience that is Trudy's. And it can take a long time to get your bill. At first, the service was pretty good, food came out right and on time. Getting the bill took about 30 minutes. Also, splitting the bill is a nightmare. Tell them to split it before. They couldn't split it for some reason, and you had to write down the costs. Huge hassle. That said... it has an awesome relaxed vibe. It's self-seating, but you don't know that until you ask someone. The breakfast and brunch here is just fabulous. Extremely tasty. I definitely will go again... but only if I had a couple hours to spare.
by Evan Corti on This place is pretty hip. It is much more authentic then most of the places I have encountered thus far in Atlanta. Mondays have a cool scene of industry types, hipsters and pretty good mash up music. This is not a place to go for the typical Atlanta booty shaking hip hop. Much like my days at Home and Guesthouse on Tuesdays and Wednesdays in New York this venue offers an authentic vibe with a cool blend of hip hop, old school and current electro pop. This seems to draw genuine articles in terms of patrons. They also make very good Gin and Tonics.
