by Jessica S. on I always have a good time at Koko's. The bartenders are fast and very knowledgeable. The drinks are strong. The DJs have good tatste. Wednesday, Thursday, and Friday are the best nights. Good location, stumbling distance to other good bars. I highly recommend that you get your butt down to Koko's.

Everyone that worked with or for Opera has a horribly bitter attitude and needs to get a job outside of the clubbing business if they're tired of dealing with the atmosphere and the people!! We self parked across the street in the lot for $20 (yikes!). We didn't want to valet for $15 because.. yennoooo... pre-partying always wins over the expensive drinks in the club. Being on the guestlist led us in the club right away. Yes, Mr. Security Guard, I do realize I look 15 on my drivers license. That's because I was 15 and a half when I took that picture! :( Time for a new license when bouncers start questioning whether it's you in the picture or not. Another bouncer commented we need to just hurry up and stop complaining because the line wasn't long. Well excuse me! We were confused by the LONG LINE blocking the guest list line. The venue itself is pretty nice. I heard friday nights were "asian nights"? If that's true, it lived up to its friday night name last night. I even heard someone exclaim, "there are sooo many asians here geeez". Haha! I had a lot of fun with my girls, but ladies - there are a ton of unattractive creepy guys here who have no swagger at all - so beware (more so than usual). They opened up more rooms than I heard they usually do. There are several bar areas and dance floors to accompany each of them. There are also tables all along the walls and an outdoor smoking patio. Thank you to the bartender who was practically giving us free drinks! There were multiple times where we obtained 5 shots for the price of 2. Score! Unfortunately I've forgotten the term for the respective man or woman that stays in the bathroom to help you with amenities and what not. But the woman in this ladies room was an absolute buzz kill. At the beginning of the night she kept repeating that "tips are appreciated" and apparently she lost her temper in the end because she was yelling at my friend, telling her that all of us at this club "are just a bunch of drunks!" and she repeatedly told her to get out of the restroom (while I was occupied in there) but my friend was telling her she was waiting for me... yet she kept rambling on and on rudely about people at this club. What else do you expect at a club?!?! We drink, we dance, we need to go to the bathroom!!!!! And I'm sorry but I don't need to tip you if I use the restroom and get my own towels. They need to fire her ASAP. Overall I had a great night but probably won't ever want to come back here again.
by Cortez Raskey on Quite possibly the nicest staff around, including the guy manning the door. It was almost a pleasure to get the "once-over" this time - almost, not really. Tenjune also has the easiest bar to get to, and the most champagne filled tables I've seen. There were moments I was convinced it was an 80's club. The DJ needs to learn to mix it up a bit. 80's is fun, but not an entire 20 song set worth. Also, there must be a memo out somewhere telling the guys Tenjune is a great place to spend boys night out. A few too many all-male, too good for dancing, tables. I just don't get it.
