I have always loved this place and the old school hip hop vibe it's got going. The music is great and the drinks were decently priced, but this place just gets so cramped since it is tiny small.  However, I can't complain too much since we have had a lot of fun nights here through the years.

My love for this place fluctuates between 2-5 stars, depending on what's going on there.  The bartenders are great, the art is really cool, and the music is usually pretty dope.  Usually. I've been here for Qool Wednesdays as well as trunk shows and the occasional Friday evening - the crowd...depending on the event, can be good or douchebaggish.  I don't really like the fact that they serve Bartyle's & James wine coolers masquerading as Sake (Sake2Me) but their regular cocktails are pretty decent. Basically, going to 111 Minna is like Russian Roulette - sometimes you get there and breathe a sigh of relief and chill out, and sometimes you just want to pull the trigger and end it right then and there.    (Wow, that was unusually morbid for me, wasn't it?)

This up and coming nightclub certainly had the atmosphere to be something big with a three levels being connected by a narrow atrium on one wall of the club. The flow of energy is high and the crowd is definitely ready to move around and mingle. By the time I was ready to dance after ordering from the handsome bar tender, the DJ had somehow managed to empty the dance floor with his selection of all too popular hits that although they are "crowd pleasers" they are not beats you can dance too. My friend and I tried our best to pick up the beats on the top floor, but felt uncomfortable when we had more of an audience than a dance crowd. Other than that, the club was a great addition to our night on 6th street with a diverse crowd mingling over the brightly lit monotone bars or lounging on the lush sofas.
