My friends and I (a group of 5 girls) went here last night when it turns into a "club" and the whole experience was meh. There was a line to get into the upstairs section, which we waited in for 20 mins, only to get up there and see it was EMPTY. It was nice with lots of seating and tables, but there was no music and some groups of people were not even speaking. It was a silent room. Very strange. The main floor is definitely the best spot to be if you want to socialize and dance. The DJ was pretty good, but the crowd was not very diverse, older, and not very attractive. I won't be going back.

They say it's not your daddy's steakhouse, and they're right! (Whoever "they" are...). I have been to STK several times. I most recently took my boyfriend to STK for his birthday, and we thoroughly enjoyed it. This restaurant is very hip and trendy. If you are not into "scenes" and everything that accompanies them, then this is probably not the place for you. The service was excellent, and the waitstaff was very helpful and friendly. STK has a fantastic bar selection, and the drinks are delicious. Their specialty, obviously, is steak, and they make it especially well. I really like the smaller steaks that they offer; they are perfect for someone who wants to enjoy a good steak without having to eat excessively. They also make an amazing house steak sauce that is tangy without being too spicy, and their desserts are divine (I love the choco molten cake!)

"What? I can't hear you!" I can't count how many times we had to shout over dinner saying such words like that. Amazing how this place has no concept of sound proofing. Originally we were about to be seated in the back with a bunch of ex-frat turned businessmen, and immediately we asked to be seated up front, only to find ourselves surrounded by a table full of girls celebrating a friends bday. I can't say which was the better table to eat at. All of it was just so loud... Volume aside, the food is what we came to really experience, so let's get down to that... To start, we had the oyster and crab dip. Not bad, but not great... Cheesy and hard to eat with their crumbly pieces of toast that they supplied us with... Shelli had the veg plate for dinner, while I chose the shortrib route. The veg plate was a nice size, and the only thing that was bland on the plate was the okra. Anyone heard of salt? The shortrib was decent, but that was after I had to send the first one back. The original plate I had was cold. I can't imagine why... The shortrib itself was tepid, and the sauce it came in was quite chilled. When I asked, the server said it should be hot. She should be able to feel the temp of the bowl it comes in when she's bringing it out to know that it wasn't right... I will say that they did the right thing and comp'd it, even though they brought out another one (slightly better temperature this time) which I ate completely. It's nice to know that a place like this with good sense still exists. Really it's a 3.5, but I can't round up on this one... I will try it again, but bring some earplugs next time.
