I just got back from dinner at Zahav and felt compelled to review it immediately. Fantastic experience. They offer their full menu for Restaurant Week. I love that. The service was also phenomenal - everyone from the hostess to the waitress to the bus folks and food runners were super friendly and attentive. We actually joked about this because it bordered on TOO good. The decor was also very nice - simple but with subtle accents. Most importantly, the food was amazing. I really enjoy family style, so that was a bonus. Highlights were the hummus/pita and salads to start, oxtail soup, chicken confit, and almond semifreddo dessert. It's very clear that they use high quality ingredients and pay close attention to detail. I love Mediterranean style food and this is some of the best I've ever had, if not THE best. They also gave us $10 off coupons for the other Cook + Solo restaurants (Xochitl and Percy Street). Thank you, we will be using those. I've never given 5 stars on a first visit. Bravo Zahav.

I thought the space was really nice..the music was ok...but the people were trashy (sorry!) i prefer the crowd at liv, louis and mynt. i have never seen so many girls trolling around saying "anything for a free drink". All the girls i have seen in the other miami clubs have been very pretty and well dressed unlike at set, where they all looked like the shopped at bang bang and were sorta pretty because they had so much makeup on you could not really tell what they looked like. the guys were kind of gross too, they just harass and follow you around. and randomly, they let in a girl wearing a yellow button down polo and flipflops. This crowd reminded me of the Webster Hall crowd in NYC.....yuck!

The place itself is huge and comfy. Came here after an art show. Hubs was on the mailing list of some cool DJs so we wandered on in after the people in the front were nice enough to give us a discount. It was $10 to get in. Drinks were kinda pricey. The place was almost empty and then semi filled up. Bartenders were nice. Stayed in one of the smaller room because the other rooms including the larger one sounded too poppy. The crowd in the big room was mostly asian people that stood around. Kinda weird. It felt like it wanted to be all ravey and thats just not my kinda gravy. (ok that was kinda cheesey). Someone I met assured me that it was usually more packed, but really, as long as the music is good i don't care if there are people or not. Anyways, I don't think I'd go back unless I knew who was playing.
