by Carolyn S. on I just received email from rateclub that my previous review which I wrote a couple of years ago was removed. It read, "a cool little room with big drinks," which it is. I've been there a bunch of times: Sandra Bernhard, Sony Holland, Paula West, Cleo Lanie are a few of the performers I've caught there. The room has excellent sound, an intimate feel and great drinks. I've bought tickets at the door and on Gold Star and I've always received the same professional greeting and seating when I've arrived. SF could use more venues like this.
by Jermaine Blondin on Bartender's are cool.. Very generous with drinks... Hooked me up n the Girls!!! But crowd was not that great. Thank god we had VIP. My girl GoGo dances there. But the restroom lines were long... Good place to go to.
by Andy Mehrhoff on A gorgeous gem hidden within a side alley off of 2nd street in downtown. Think... steampunk bedazzled with a little of the prohibition era glamour and tossed with some modern adornments. Every nook and cranny of this old electric shop has a place and reason to be. Drinks were very good and a bit pricey. Have not had the pleasure of trying any edibles, but I'm sure I will test that out the next time I come here.
