If this isn't you, you might need a miracle getting in. This is the NYC I expected. After 2am, and without a contact inside, it was a no entry ending to this story. They don't need everyone's business I guess.
by Venus Riase on After consuming a copious amount of alcohol and looking for another spot to get my two step on. I instantly get a call from my friend to hurry myself over to The Little Temple. Never hearing of this spot. I was a bit apprehensive. I wasn't going to waste my night praying and humming Biblical tunes. But I'll give this place a shot. I've always had a good time with places with the word Temple in it! Now this place is far from the Glitz and Flashing Lights that your typical Hollywood venues offers. You probably won't spot it at first glace but the HUGE billboard on the corner as well as the patrons smoking and hanging outside is a dead giveaway that you've reached your destination. Finding parking in the surrounding area was a bit frustrating so we opted on the $7 valet service. We were hoping there wouldn't be any cover but luck wasn't on our side and forked out $7. Once you enter the establishment you can't help but to bump into other drunk patrons due to the fact that this place is dimly lit. A bit crowded at first we managed to make our way to the main room. Place was packed! Going to the bar was out of the question. BUT the music being played was GOOD! 80's 90's Hip-Hop and RnB was blarring with the help of the overly buff Busta Rhymes looking HYPE man! The other room was a bit smaller and played a lot of Old School RnB! The Bar was a bit smaller in this room but the bartender was quick, attentive, and heavy with the drinks! For you ladies. Not much of a place to sit and put your purses down. by ART L. on One of my fav. clubs! why? House music of course! I think Deep-l.a. was better when they were at the old venue, but I guess king king replaced it when they moved to vanguard. Now deep needs to have a million ppl pack the house before it feels homey and it still doesn't really. I love house music because it's NOT a meat market and everyone is there to dance and get their groove on. You won't see any crappy dancers here... that's reserved for hip hop clubs. Even some of the white guys know how to dance here!! HUH?? NO WAY!! Tha's a shocker! If nothing else, I can gawk at the prettiest bartender in l.a.! I'm speechless every time I see her. cheesy but true!
