by Charles C. on I agree with Ed L. This place is such a tease. You look at the advertisements for this place, the lighting, the crowd and you think wow this place is hot. Well you arrive, and its more so than likely some sort of damn hosted party. But thats not even the worst part, its when you walk in and you see how freakni small the actual venue is. 2 stars for the photographer of the venue and his great photoshopping skills.
by kim n. on I only go here if there is a DJ set going on. In fact I think the last two times was for the Crystal Method. It's definitely a beautiful space, while the lighting and sound system are highly complementary to getting in the zone with the music. Sure there's a "scene" and since it gets big names, there's big time attitude to boot. But I tend to ignore all that and just go for the music. If you know what to expect and plan accordingly you can still have a good time. Get on the mailing list (or a promoters list) to get in free and liquor up before you go in if drink prices are offensive to you. I always hit the second floor rail for the best view and the least amount of people you have to deal with.
