Came here a few weekends ago. The outside of this place looks kind of run down. Then you walk in and you are exposed to another world. Good music, stiff drinks and its nice and open for all us smokers. I didnt catch the beach theme, but everything looked proper

I first went to Medjool when it opened up in 2004. And let me tell you, this place has come a long way since then. If you like tapas (Mediterranean style) and cocktails, this place is heaven. Come summer in S.F. you can enjoy the view from the roof-top. Medjool is where the fun, hip and sexy people hang out. And you do get a fair share of Marina tight assess looking down on others too :-) Also, for the "Mission Haters" I've been living in Mission-Dolores for the last ten years and this neighborhood has gone from "shady" to a fun place to hang out. Yes, there are streets you don't want to be by yourself in the night. Places to be in the Mission for fun: Valencia St. (from 16th to 23rd), the 18th St. (from Dolores to Mission), Mission St (between 19th and 22nd). Here you'll find restaurants and bars to be if you aren't afraid to "experience something new". There is way too much flavor in terms of food and people, which is why I LOVE living here. Of course if you're "vanilla" and like to "live in a box" then you're better off spending your time some where else.

I went to this club on a saturday night! The music was techno and I really like techno music and it was great for dancing. The drinks were good as well and the bartenders were nice. It looked like it was an Asian night and the dance floors are big. They have three dance floors. Plenty of outdoor seating for nature and tobacco lovers alike :-) I must have danced like 3 hrs almost continuously! Good work-out for the whole week :-) However I found that later that this is mostly a gay club, except saturdays when it is a straight night. So if you like techno, this is a kool place to go on a Saturday night!
