There's no real VIP area, and yes I'm very self-important, so I require a VIP area. =P It's reminiscent of a Vegas-type club, but on a very very small scale. Smoking patio is all the way downstairs in an alley, and if you have a table all the way upstairs, it's a very inconvenient trip if you're wearing 4" stilettos. For some reason we weren't allowed to pour our own drinks from our bottles, we had to have our waitress pour all of our drinks, which again, was very inconvenient. The upside was that it's perfect for watching people watch other people dance and make fools of themselves in their drunken stupor from upstairs.

First impression when I was looking in from outside: I can't wait to eat Cajun food! Final impression after leaving: I can't believe I got sick. This place definitely is not owned or operated by people who are from the south, visited the south, or have ever had Cajun food. From the appetizers to the entrees this place is a mess. The Southern Sampler appetizer tasted like it was heated up from a microwave after being frozen and my seafood jambalaya ($24) could have fed a family of five. To make it worse, I got sick ten minutes into eating my entree.

Well, I have been here on Saturday nights. A nice dance floor, in fact they have 2 dance floor and another on the next level. It has very nice views of LA downtown on one side and the Roosevelt Hotel on the other side...Well once I also heard Sajama music, the CD I have been looking for and can't seem to find anywhere! Music is hip hop and there are lot of folks here. You also meet many tourists here. Ended up talking to some nice German gals here! Drinks are a little expensive here. Sometimes they have live bands. It gets very hot on the dance floor, I mean it gets really sweaty :-) They need to put some huge fans there atleast in summer!! Since this is close to the Kodak theater, there are nice restaurants around and I have heard sundays are regge nights. So if you want to enjoy the nice views of LA downtown, move the hips to hip hop music and yes get stoned as well, this is the place :-) I would like to go back on sundays to enjoy the regge music.
