by Rusty Lalande on Night life @ the Academy of Sciences is an interesting event. The first time I came here, I noticed a lot of people come here after work just to relax and drink! LOL I've never seen an exhibit while drinking. Looking at the shark aquarium and strolling by the rainforest or planetarium. Great experience, good times here! drinks are expensive, food is A-ok nothing fancy. It's 12.00 to get in. I think I'll stick to going to HH after wk!
by Karl M. on I like this place. I tend to be a sucker for polished, slightly campy atmospheres, and this place takes the cake. Larger and brighter than it's Old City counterpart, you can just about always get a table, and the service is generally good (in that corporate, required kind of way). The drink selection is extensive. My favorite of the Continental cocktails is the Buzz Aldrin - I mean, how can you go wrong with vodka and Tang?!?! The food is reasonably priced and varied, but always consistent. You can get a burger with a plate of fries larger than my head, or some edamame and a massive calamari salad. You will leave stuffed! Overall, a nice respite on the dump we call Chestnut Street. I don't recommend sitting streetside.If you must be outside, opt for the upstairs roof deck.
