by Steve N. on I've been here many times before but my buddies 29th birthday was the best time I ever had. Bottle service 2 bottles of ciroc for $500.00 on the basement level. The rooftop level is my favorite but it popped. I highly recommend this place. Be Hollywood for a night and let everything else fall into place.
by Kim W. on I chose Sugar Cafe to host a late night dessert birthday spot with friends. I was able to reserve a table for my group and the table was in a good location and it was fairly crowded, but not overly so. (around 10 p.m. on a Friday night) The drinks were yummy and the dessert sampler platters that we shared where outstanding. The sliders and the mac and cheese were also very yummy. Unfortunately the service was TERRIBLE. The waitperson kept forgetting our orders, one dessert samplers came out not all at once, but with about 25 minutes between??? Also, friends that ordered their drinks first got them last, maybe 30 minutes to get a simple drink? I had read bad reviews on rateclub about service, and had warned my friends, but even with reminding our waitress a dozen times about the same food or drink order, nothing really seemed to help. I would go back if service improved greatly, but I can't subject myself to that sort of madness unnecessarily!
by Lionel Dettinger on I went here on a date and I just dont think it was that good. I mean the atmosphere is awesome with the pirateship, crocodiles and all but i think you get better fondue at chains even (melting pot for example). Worth a trip once for the scenery. Also Dante the owner is super cool. he comes and talks to every table. I might have to give it another chance but i dunno.
