La comida está muy buena aquí. A friend found this place on rateclubs and we decided to make it our destination last night. With a convenient location to the Metro and Ameoba/Arclight, this place was off to a good start. The front looks unassuming enough, but once inside this place gives off an interesting club/Dia de los Muertos/castle/Lotería vibe. The menu presents you with some hearty and varied choices, albeit in a less than ideally-readable typeface. You know they're not messing around when the margaritas are at the top of the menu. I had the Ultimate Margarita, then a Classic Margarita. I can now assure you that it's worth the extra coin for the Ultimate goodness - better booze, better taste. No appetizers this time around, so onto the Lupitas Chicken Tamales. Delicious. You get a big honkin' plate of two tamales, rice and beans (see uploaded photo). Oh and the chips and dip/salsa were fantastic. I wasn't expecting anything special from the food here, but was pleasantly surprised. Our server was attentive and friendly. He even threw in a complimentary dessert. The place is dark, clean and well-maintained. By 9:30 the bar area can be pretty crowded. This place is a good spot to start the night off, and works well for a small group.

After last Thursday night, I was kicking myself for not getting my ass down to Asia AF YEARS AGO! What the hell took me so long to have this experience?!?! I have no idea, but I finally had it and it was SUPER FAB, biatches! Really, this place is my new secret weapon for a crowd-pleaser suggestion spot. I was feeling a little cray-cray to begin with the night that we went here, and the whole ambiance/performance just added to my mood, in a good way! Hello natural high! (no, it really was, I swear I just had one drink!) So, maybe don't take your grandma here cuz she might not get it (unless she is like my grandma who is in her 90s and is probably the coolest person in our entire family!) But otherwise, I can't imagine anyone not loving this fantastic SF institution. Food and drinks were yum yum yum and reasonably priced! Be forewarned that a lot of frat boy types come here and that the bar down below is really not the best, depending on the night of the week....definitely make a dinner res...but it just adds to the zaniness of it all! I am hooked, can't wait to come back with the BF or another group of friends!

This review is for Saturday night only! Finally a place where the grown and sexy 35+ crowd can go chill or get their "boogie on" to a live band or a DJ and not feel like somebody's mama because the crowd is too young or worry about getting shot because the crowd is too young and ghetto!! The view is breathtaking, the club decor is asthetically pleasing and the drinks are delicious! The crowd seems to be there to dance and have a good time. Not just sit back and floss or just people watch like so many other night clubs out there! I do not go clubbing very often but whenever I get into the mood to go dancing, and chill with "the upscale crowd", this will be one of my top destinations! Holla!!
