by Patricia G. on I just went here for the first time Thursday night, which was Root Down. My two friends (a couple) took me since I'd never been and ended up meeting up with some other friends there. As a major hip hop head, I really enjoyed the music they played. It's not that Top 40 hip hop junk that pretty much every club plays -- it's the good stuff! And the DJs aren't whack and they actually know what they are doing, haha. The vibe seemed really chill, people friendly... you could get your groove on and dance or just hang around, chill and talk, although the music is a bit too loud to have a real convo, unless you're pretty much screaming. Overall, just a chill spot where you can go to listen to some dope music.
by Angela H. on Very restaurant-like glitzy kind of place. I saw Air here. Sound quality is awesome. There is a full bar, LOTS of tables (it looks more like a restaurant than a concert venue), a dance floor in front of the stage. I liked this place, but it could have just been because of the band and the experience with the crowd.
