This is one of the best jazz clubs in NYC if what you're looking for is an upscale sort of experience with big international headliners performing on stage. The prices are high, yes, but I'll support live jazz in any way I can. If the expensive drinks were poorly made, I would complain. But besides people griping about the prices, the overall experience is great. This is a good once-in-a-while jazz club experience, but I also enjoy seeing local acts and smaller name artists at other venues.

Ditto to Enjella about the high school dance. This is where bridge and tunnel go when they can't find parking near broadway. I got dragged into this place blind once and regretted it. Big space with lots of rooms, but it wants to be in SOMA and it wants to have grown ups with money come by. So stop letting in college students maybe. I thought half the female clientele looked like mail order brides. Maybe I hit it during a russian expat event.

If fried food or mediocrity is your specialty, then you might find that Six Feet Under is your type of place. If you're someone like me, who grew up on the coast, eating that which was caught that morning... well then, there's really no comparison. The two stars are for the upstairs patio area, which is nice to get a couple of drinks and enjoy the warmer weather. As for the food, skip it... order a pitcher for you and your friends, and call it a day.
