by Terrance Moulden on Only real perk of this club: it's free before 11pm for ladies. I usually go here before 11, get stamped, and then leave to go somewhere else so that I can go back in if I feel like it (many clubs won't allow readmittance until like..12:30am). Yes, it IS Asian night on Saturdays, so prepare yourself. I only come here because I'm bound to see familiar faces, but the venue isn't that great, considering it is in the basement. The music is decent though; the resident DJ there on Saturday nights usually plays top 40 hits. The drinks are a little on the strong side (I get a good buzz from one Long Island), and I guess it's relatively inexpensive compared to a lot of other places. I definitely wouldn't pay cover to party here though.
by Sean T. on Four stars for the decor. Let me try to describe it. Imagine the inside of Goth Mexican Elvis Presley's coffin. The bar tenders make a mean Margarita and are very freindly and hip. I noticed that there were a lot of four or more girl parties for dinner. So I am guessing it is a popular joint for the ladies to start off the night at or have a Bachlorette/Papmered Chef dinner. I ordered the Mole. I recommend it....the Mole is awesome. It was served with your traditional orange/red Mexican rice and refired beans which were typical and nothing to write home about. However, the Mole, as I said, was right on the money. Price was about right for Hollywood. Great place to start of a Hollwood night out at.
by Timothy Ledger on Although I'm not a huge fan of LA since the scene is full of extremely shallow people... there's finally a club that upholds the look and feel of Hollywood without the cheezy pretentiousness. With three very unique projection screens, high ceilings, and brick facade, this place has style... not to mention one of very few spaces that cater to respectable House dj's: Colette, Fred Everything, Miguel Migs... My only complaint is how hot and crowded it can get, especially if you're into the house scene and can't find the room to dance. Nevertheless, I'll continue going back until it becomes too LA.
